We offer special services like mobile medical care from our mobile medical centre established at Thiruthuraipundi. We visit a village once in 15 days with a medical team of a special Doctor, Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Lab Assistant and pharmacists with necessary medical equipment. We conduct medical check up, blood test and we give treatment to the elderly and distribute medicine and also render needy referral to higher medical institution. We provide this service with our own fund with mobile van on rental basis. We reached out to 750 persons in the last year in Thiruthuraipundi Block
In Co-ordination with department of central excise and department of police administration, we render counseling services, medical treatment, relief measures family meet and rehabilitation services for the addicts of our area with our special staff. The major campaign event was Thenmangu cultural programme by Pothigai TV fame Thegingurajapuram S.VeeraSekaran and RenugaDevi . Through the programme we were able to achieve expected impact . In the 7 villages more than 15,000 rural mass were made aware of the ill effects of Alcoholism and the need to prevent it. The sale of liquor has reduced in the target areas. In the past year, we imparted counseling for de-addiction to 105 persons. We admitted 32 persons and after the treatment 27 recovered and came out of addiction.
We initiated a family counseling centre in 1997 at Thiruthuraipundi. We so far, have rendered Counseling to 12,000 families . At the centre, we render Counseling to couples and solve various social, ethical, ego-based misunderstanding, problems arising out of Sexual and financial issues in an amicable manner. In certain unsolved difficult problems such as Dowry harassment faced by poor women and right of wealth etc, we help them by getting legal aids for them through our organization. We also render help line services to the affected women with the coordination of women police station at Thiruthuraipundi. In the past year, we offered counseling to 20 couples.
